After I book, can I still change my rental car category? Absolutely. You can always change your rental car category. At Sunny Cars, there is no charge for this service. Be sure to make any changes or cancellations at least 24 hours before the start of the rental period. Can I extend the rental period? Yes. Sunny Cars is quite flexible. You can, therefore, easily extend and shift the rental period. You can then also book another vehicle category and even change the destination. Depending on the type of change, an additional charge may apply. Be sure to make the change at least 24 hours prior to the start of the rental period. How do I cancel a reservation? If you have to cancel your reservation unexpectedly, you can do this right up to the agreed pick-up time of your rental vehicle. However, you cannot cancel at the local rental firm. You can only cancel with your travel agent or with Sunny Cars. Our cancellation fees are very low: - up to five days prior to the start of the rental period: €25
- five days or less prior to the start of the rental period: €50
- on the day of the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental fee
For just €1 a day (with a minimum of €7), you can have the cancellation fee waived. If you take advantage of this arrangement, you can cancel your reservation without indicating a reason for the cancellation up to four hours before the start of the rental period for no additional charge. What is a no-show? If you are not present at the agreed upon time to take receipt of the rental car, then we refer to this as a no-show. In this case, we charge 100% of the rental fee. What is a cancellation waiver fee? With the cancellation fee, you can have the cancellation fee waived for just €1 a day (with a minimum of €7). This type of insurance is extremely handy, because if for any reason you are unable to pick up your rental car – with the exception of the cost of insurance – this will not cost you a cent. The insurance is valid up to four hours prior to the agreed pick-up time for the rental car.
