All about cancelling your rental car at Sunny Cars
Swimming in the bright blue sea, strolling along that cosy boulevard, dining at the best local restaurants... you look forward to your holiday for weeks or even months. But then suddenly something happens and you have to cancel your holiday. And the rental car as well.
Bookings with Flexservice
If you book in 2022, you will receive the Flexservice free of charge. Did you already make a booking? On the invoice, you can see whether this was included in your booking.
With the Flexservice, the regular cancellation fee will not be charged if you cancel no later than 1 hour in advance. Super flexible! You can easily cancel your booking yourself. You will find a link to your personal My Booking or My Sunny environment in your confirmation e-mail and the e-mail containing your voucher. If you click on it, you will go to your account where you can cancel your booking. If you cancel the rental car up to 1 hour before arrival, we will refund the full rental price within a few working days. It’s that simple!
What are the costs of cancelling your rental car?
- You can cancel your booking free of charge within the option period.
- If you cancel up to 5 days before the start of the rental we charge € 75,- cancellation costs
- If you cancel between 5 days and 24 hours before the start of the rental period we charge €125
- If you cancel within 24 hours before the start of the rental period or if you don't pick up the car, you will be charged the full rental amount.
- Did you add the Flexservice to your booking? Then you will not be charged any cancellation costs, but only the costs of the Flexservice
How can you cancel your booking?
You can easily cancel the reservation yourself. You can cancel your booking online up to 6 hours before the start of the rental period. A link to your personal My Booking or My Sunny account can be found in your confirmation mail and the mail containing your voucher. Click on the link in the e-mail, log in and with one push on the button you can cancel the reservation. Does the rental start within 6 hours? Please contact one of our car rental experts by phone.
When do you get your money back after cancellation?
After cancelling your rental car we will immediately refund your payment. If you paid by credit card, you will usually get your money back the same day. If you paid with iDEAL, we will issue an instruction to the bank in sixth gear (within two days) to refund the amount. So you never have to wait long for the refund.
Is there an alternative to cancelling?
Yes, it is not always necessary to cancel your reservation because most parts of your booking are adjustable. Changing your reservation is a piece of cake and free of charge too! You can adjust the rental period, pick-up time, car category, accessories and extra services (subject to availability) free of charge until the start of the rental.
