Curaçao International Airport, also known as Hato International Airport, is the gateway to the beautiful island of Curaçao. Handling more than two million passengers annually and one terminal, this airport connects Curaçao with the rest of the world. Its facilities are designed to offer travellers a comfortable and efficient start to their exploration of the island.
Curaçao International Airport is just a stone's throw from Willemstad, the island's bustling capital. The drive to Willemstad takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Travellers can take Road to Westpunt and then turn onto Schottegatweg Oost, which leads directly to the heart of the city. Along the way, one is treated to panoramic views of the Jan Kok salt flats and the unique, colourful architecture that characterises Curaçao.
From Curaçao Airport, you can also easily explore other notable cities on the island. For example, take a drive to Sint Michiel, a charming fishing village on the southwest coast, accessible via the Weg Naar Bullenbaai. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Another recommendation is Barber, located in the north-western part of the island. Barber can be reached via the Road to Westpunt and offers access to some of Curaçao's most pristine beaches and natural parks.
