Zakynthos Airport is just 4 kilometres south of Zakynthos Town, the island's capital. Via the Epar.Od. Zakinthou - Macheradou you will reach the city in about 10 minutes. On the way, you will see olive groves and typical Greek countryside that will immediately put you in the holiday mood.
From Zakynthos Airport, you can easily drive to other towns on the island. Argassi, a pleasant coastal town, is just 6 kilometres away via the Epar.Od. Zakinthou - Macheradou, and the drive takes about 15 minutes. Laganas, known for its lively atmosphere and beautiful beaches, is 7 kilometres away and can be reached via the Epar.Od. Zakinthou - Keriou. The drive to Laganas takes about 10 minutes, with beautiful views of the surrounding area along the way.
The roads on Zakynthos are generally well-maintained and paved, but can be narrow, especially in the villages and mountainous areas. Bear in mind that the roads are sometimes winding, especially when driving into the mountains. For a comfortable drive, it is useful to choose a car with a slightly larger engine.
